Presidential Review of my 2 coins, your thoughts?

Hi. I thought this would be a good topic about grading SMS registry coins and doing my part to keep the pop report as accurate as possible. First let me say, I am 100% pleased with the results and I feel I have received a hidden bonus in the deal (you know is the glass half full or empty concept?).

Here is the original post I made from a group of coins I sent in back in May.

I received my 2 coins today and a PCGS letter explaining the grades. Now for the hidden bonus, IMO.

1.) A hand written letter that states PCGS made a mistake. (Which we all do, but I think really cool of them to admit it!)

2.)A some what stance on what they are looking at when grading 1965-67 SMS coins. (Which I think is the main reason it is hard to make a super MS 1965-67 coin.)

3.)Lastly, David Hall signed it. (Which I think is cool, because it is coming from the top.)

Will this be worth anything? Who knows, but it sure is something I am keeping for a rainy day image

Have a great weekend all, and most of all happy hunting!

Ken

p.s: I want to thank Peter Ma at PCGS for all his help in getting this done! Thank you Peter image

    Craig,
That doesn't sound like a good track record image I wish you good luck and hope you get the grades on the remaining.

When a grader holds that coin out in front of him and he gets that first look and if it has super eye appeal (you've got him), that number pops into his mind and either sticks or it worked down from there. IMO somedays are better than others for all of us. If you think it has the look. I would wait a few months and try again.

    Ken,

I've never used the Presidential Review. How does it work and what is the cost. I assume it's when you've already had a coin graded and don't agree with the results?

    Thanks
