1966 Topps Football Set

Did anyone follow this auction and see what the BIN was?: 1966 Topps Football Set

The final price seems pretty strong - I had it pegged for around $1,100 tops, so I didn't get involved in the bidding. I am interested in starting this set, but the fact that the Funny Ring Checklist is the most valuable card turns me off a bit . . .

  • No I didn't, it's in nice condidtion, but not quite the NM/MT in the title, more like NM to NM+.

    Tough Set!

Yeah, very tough set and the scans make the cards look nice. Probably a fair price.

  • Having sent in well over 200 of these to psa myself and built a very high end set.I can say no doubt it is 1 of the hardest football sets I have ever graded just as tough as the 62 topps.there are a couple cards that do not even have a 7 like the 132 checklist. The set that was on ebay I stoped tracking at 800 felt it looked like exmint to nrmt+ range the funnyring checklist looked like a seven but the namath a 5 or 6.from the scans the set had many oc cards also. not worth the price in my eye.The bin by the way was 2k. I will pay top $ for 66 football psa 9 or any 66 fb cellos or clean wax packs with gum not stuck to cards.email me at jelly_man@msn.com. also looking for 67 phillys/68 topps and 55 AllAmericans PSA 9 ONLY!!!!
