Not only a gentleman, but a scholar in his field.

I have been a collector or Washington quarters for over 20 years. In terms of my collecting interests, this series is my passion, more now than ever. It's only been within the last 3 years though that I feel I have gained a better insight to understanding this series and it's challenges...wow, have I been given a great education by a great guy! Many of you who collect this series certainly already know who I'm talking about...Mr. Bob Zurick of Zaps Coins. And no, Bob didn't ask me to give him a "plug" here, I'm doing this because Bob is someone you should get to know if you really like this series. Until about 3 years ago, I was really a novice in this series, much more than I realized, and quite frankly, my coins didn't even measure up to what I was wanting for myself. I could not find some of the tougher dates in the grades I wanted. Fortunately, a good friend pointed me in Bob's direction, and I have since learned a lot more about Washington quarters. I had never met anyone with Bob's insight and knowledge regarding this series...it's really amazing how much he knows, and how freely he shares this knowledge with others who share in his fondness of this series. I've never known anyone who can give you the scoop on every date and mintmark in the entire series...what coins come well struck, which ones don't , what coins are found with nice luster, which coins are had to find all-white, and on and on. I won't even get into how much he knows about the variety coins, but I'd be willing to bet that Bob knows them all, maybe some that aren't even recognized as of yet!

I know that Bob Zurick is among THE BEST Washington quarter dealers out there today. I think what makes him so good are several things, but first and foremost, Bob loves the series and collects this series, besides carrying phenomenal coins to sell to those who want the best in Washington quarters. Bob has helped me build my set into a set I can now be proud of, and has helped me take it to a level I thought I'd never reach. I think maybe the best thing about Bob is that he's a nice guy and a very fair man as well. Bob is very "down-to-earth" and talks to you on a 1:1 personal level...not something you find in everyone who's out there selling coins today. With all the coins I've purchased from Bob, I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with any of them...the quality of his coins are unbeatable, in my opinion.

If you're looking for the best in Washington quarters, give Bob a call. If you already know Bob, then you know what I'm talking about.

Thanks for all the great coins and conversation, Bob! I'm looking forward to many more years of working with you...but I'd hardly call it work! image

Tom: It's great to see posts like this from collectors who truly appreciate the hard work and dedication of collectors/dealers like Bob. And, I say "collector/dealer" because IMHO that is where much of the passion comes from. I sat next to Bob at the auction of the Stella Colbert former #2 registered collection a couple weeks ago and we were each buying coins for inventory, as well as a coin or two for our personal collections. Bob won a big coin in that sale and he displayed such joy in being able to add the coin to his peronsal collection. That passion rubs off when you talk to Bob image

  • Mitch, thanks for your nice reply. Seeing the passion guys like you and Bob have for this series is what makes you both so good at what you do! And it's really fun talking to people such as you and Bob and learning new things about the series. You guys are a wealth of knowledge/information on this series, and I always learn something new when I talk to you both...thanks for sharing that knowledge with me. I love this series and I'm always eager to listen and learn as much as I can about it. Guys like you and Bob make it more enyable for all of us Washington collectors who know you! image

  • I agree with you 100%, Tom! Bob has also helped me with my set, and I get to sit at his table a few times a year and talk Washies. Bob could write a book on Washie varieties!
I just added a '46-S to my set that I just recieved from Bob today. It may not have the "67" # on the slab, but it sure has the look(and @ 1/50th the price)! image

Bob is one of the good guy dealers. He helped me build a great Washington set, and really taught me a lot.
