Stop the insanity!

Phew, this is driving me nuts! First two submissions to PSA in a year. PSA still has plenty of time to grade my cards and still be guranteed, but is there any time perameter to when they might post my grades? Even though it obviously won't happen, I found myself up at night to use the bathroom and I checked my submission!

Someone please help!

If you remove the care bears they will post your grades.

    Ian,

What date did they receive yours. They have had mine since 7/9, and I am tired of looking at all these other guys with 3-5 day turnaround times. I feel your pain.

    Looking for 77 cloth 9s and 10s.
    54 Red Hearts
    and now 64 Stand ups
  • Boggsy,

I did. If the grades on either invoice are posted today, you will be in my debt forever.

    Murcer,

    Thank you!

    Luke,

My submissions are the 6 freebies for the gold level package and 25 '68 commons for my set at the $8/15 day level. I'm very anxious though, these are all '68s now that I review the invoices, I plucked these from various tables at the National. If they grade 8 or up I will be pleased, but I think the Gaylord Perry I picked up has a legit 9 shot, as do many of the Tigers I picked up. Time will tell though, hopefully sooner rather than later. Until then, I shall continue to watch American Gladiator reruns on Spike TV until school starts image.

  • I was going through my cards last year Boggs, and I picked out the stars for the complete sets when they were doing the $5 a card/registry program. I pulled a pretty nice Boggs '89 Bowman. The Griffeys from the set graded 9. If you are interested, I scanned it for you and can e-mail you the scans.

  • Ian- I was in a similar situation on Monday. I had sent in 26 cards under the $10, 5-business day Express deal. The results posted exactly 5 business days later, around 4:30 PM Central time (I know, since I was checking every few minutes). I was VERY happy with my results, which were mostly oddball Johnny Bench, Tony Perez and Joe Morgan issues from the mid 70's and early 80's. Out of the 26, I got 10 10's, 15 9's and 1 8 (1984 Fleer Sticker Bench...argh). That was my 1st 8 out of probably 50 or so cards I've submitted to PSA over the last 2 years (yeah, I know I'm picky), but I knew my streak would end someday.

Don't worry, your grades will post before you know it!

I make the 550 mile drive down to Newport Beach and look through the front window. If that fails, I then drive home, and wha-la, the grades are usually posted.

  • BOTR,

If I did that, living in PA, my orders could be processed and graded, twice.

  • riccaboni- I sent in my 6 free subs on 7/31, PSA got them on 8/4 and had grades up at about 5PM EST on 8/7. I was incredibly impressed considering it was 7 day guaranteed I think. Still waiting to get it back, though, registered mail sure is annoying. Humorously enough, I'm going back to school pretty soon also (college junior) and have been watching the gladiators reruns daily, as I'm pathetic and couldn't get an internship for this summer (hopefully next summer). Good luck w/your grades.

I also sent in my 6 freebies as part of the membership deal. I called on 8/8 and was told that PSA received them on 8/6. On 8/8 the cards were on the last stage. The rep told me to try Monday since they would likely be done. I called several times Monday, several more Tuesday, and even more time today. I just got in and checked my e-mail before getting ready to call for the last time tonight. Lo and behold my grades posted while I was out. The thing that gets me is that the cards were on the last stage for three days. That's torture!

I was, however, moderately pleased with my grades since the cards I sent in are from a set that I am new to. I managed three 9s, two 8s, and a 9OC. I will build my set on the sidelines and probably register when it's 90-95 % done so as to fall within the PSA guidelines for comp submissions. I am still undecided and may just register when I get them back from PSA so I can watch the set grow.

    Spacktrack,

You no longer need to register a near complete set to get the "comp submissions". I registered my 1970 set card by card and got the comps when I hit 75%. They changed that policy over a year ago.

  • Yay! First order is done. Did about as well as I was expecting, but saddened the Perry only got an 8 image. These are all either new cards, or in the case of the Perry/Stargell, upgrades to my set, so they are all welcome additions. It is invoice 4089178.
