David:
I think you have responded in the past to this question but could you again list for us (in order from most difficult to least difficult) the series of coins graders grade? Thanks again.

It's different for different graders...and the grade range enters it. For example, I have difficulty with the 62/63/64 line on $2&1/2 and $5 Indians...I'm basically pretty clueless. But other PCGS graders look at these coins and rattle off grades instantly. And I have no trouble at all with the 64/65/66 lines for these coins.

Generally speaking...copper coins are harder to grade than other metal coins. Indian cents are hard to grade. $2&1/2 and $5 Indians are hard to grade. Early (pre-1834) coins are hard to grade. Colonials are extremly hard to grade. Jefferson nickels are both a pain in the butt and hard to grade. The easiest coins to grade are Morgan dollars.
