8 months ago I purchased my 1st proof Ike, a PR68(No cam/dcam) Type 1 for $15 and became slowly hooked. Upgrading to 68DCAM's then slowly to 69DCAMs and finally completed with my purchase of the Type 1. Now I find myself wanting to replace some of my coins with even nicer 69's, will it ever stop?? Afraid I may mortgage house for some 70DCAM IKEs . A haze free, deep cameo ike is really a beautiful coin!!

I know how you feel. I started my set 20 months ago. But started with 69dcams right off the bat. I have all of them, but as I collected and learned what the exact look I wanted was, I am now upgrading a few to nicer examples within the grade. I do not think most collectors realize how tough it is to get a really nice set of Ikes. They say they are easily found. But in my experience there is alot of latitude in 69 dcams. There are alot out there that makes you wonder how they ever graded that high. Then if you are lucky you will find a few that you think should be in a 70 holder. Very few though.
Almost forgot, then there are a couple of varietes like the peg leg. Oh yea, then a set of toned Ikes. If you you are really hooked, it never ends
Congratulations

Way to go and Congrats!

Mortgage your house for some toned Ikes instead.
Congrats on finishing that set in PR69DCAM. I had one awhile back but got rid of them when I returned to Type collecting. Now I have decided to do a 1976 Year Proof Set and need a T1 again. Rats.
Of course the Lincoln is even a bigger problem, $$$$$
