1963 Topps Football question

Can someone provide a scan of the back of any 1963 Topps Football card so i can see what they look like? Of all the cards ive owned ive never had any 1963 T Football and i was thinking of bidding on some of the 63's ending on eBay tonight.

Thanks.
Paul.

  • Here's one Paul........The little cartoon on the backs were meant to be viewed through red paper to get the answer to a question.
    Hope this helps.

    Paul,

Here's one off a PSA 8 I just had graded. I plan on running this 8 and about 15-16 more from the 63 set when football season starts. Good luck if you decide to pursue the set in high grade. It's a tough one with the colored borders.

  • TREETOP - Thanks for the scan of a high grade card. I want to start a Football set and i was going to start a 1954 Bowman set but now i think it will be 1963 Topps (PSA 8-10 with NQ).

    Thanks again for the scan.

  • Paul.....I've also thought about starting the 63 Topps football set. There seems to always be a healthy offering in high grade on eBay. You should be able to find what you want at generally good prices.

  • I guess i just started my 63 Football setimage. I just picked up two PSA 9's and two PSA 8's from ebay.

This should be a fun set to work on.

Ouch ! I too have now felt the sting of Paul's snipes on the 1963's !

As if 8's and better weren't already tough enough to pick up for this set,
looks like I'm back to wrestling for crumbs ( 7's ).

Are you sure you wouldn't really rather go after the 1954 Bowmans ? image

  • WOLFBEAR & SKINSFAN, Sorry about the "sting of the snipes". The 63's look like a great set and im in for the long haul, i just hope the bidding doesn't get too crazy but im sure it will. Ive only been working on the set for a few days now and i already have 20 cards, 18 eights and 2 nines. This set is now my main focus and everything else is on the back burner. My goal for this set is to be atleast 50% complete by New Years and be complete by the National next year with a GPA over 8.00.

Im going to be submitting cards to PSA so i would be happy to contact ether of you if i get cards i don't need or cards i can't use.

    Paul.

**(NOTE)** My sets not on the Registry yet but it will be soon under my id: superpunk813 and every card will have an scan so check it out.

    Paul and the Gang,

Hey if it's on I'll do the submitting. I just looked at the binder yesterday truely
    stunning.

I love the design when you can get them in highgrade.

PS Paul your card should be at your box today.

A couple more notes about the 1963's :

It's the only set that when I submit a small batch of them to PSA,
they seem to come back either mostly 7's or mostly 8's almost at random. image

Also, if you check out this site , you'll see that you will actually need two of almost every card,
if you want to truely have a complete set with all the variations.

  • WOLFBEAR- Shhhhhhhhhhhhh.........you shouldn't let that kind of info get out or the next thing you know PSA will have a 1963 "MASTER" set listed and isn't this set expensive enough already.image
