How accurate is the PCGS price guide? How often is it updated? if its updated at all. Is it kept close enough to base buys on?

The PCGS price guide is somewhat accurate. The market is moving pretty fast and I will admitt we need to do a better job of updating the price guide.

More importantly, as I said at the recent Set Registry luncheon, the coin market is in a great place. The only current flaw in the marketplace is the inaccuracy of all the price guides. The true story is not being told. Hopefully, our team will have some time to focus on this important function.

I belive that the PCGS price guide, while more accurate than most, is not accurate enough to base buys on. I do believe that if you can buy for under the PCGS price guide prices you are doing OK.
