I just went 2 for 6 on SGC to PSA crossovers

Submission 4093433 that I dropped off at The National.

SGC 84 Joe Collins would not 7
SGC 86 Joe Black would not 7
SGC 88 Billy Pierce would not 8
SGC 88 Virgil Stallcup would not 8

SGC 88 John Antonelli went SGC 88 to PSA 8
SGC 88 Rocky Krsnich went SGC 88 to PSA 8

I was hoping for 50% to cross (especially the Joe Black to a 7) so I am not devastated. At least one of the high number 8's crossed.

Regards,

Alan

I did better by mail [8039444]:

    1960 Steelers 88...8
    1964 McRae 96....8
    1964 Mitchell 88....8

    1956 Davy Crockett #24A 84...7
    1956 Adams [US Pres.] 96....9
    1956 Buchanan 88....8
    1956 Truman 88......8

Happy with 6 out of 7. They even marked the spot on the back that SGC missed on the McRae card.

Always looking for 1957 Topps BB in PSA 9!

    Hey Alan

I wonder what would happen if you cracked open the Slabs and resubmitted??

This is good to know about crossovers.....Do you have any experience with Crossovers from KSA to PSA????

    Thanks

autosoft-Depends on what you are sending. Anything post 1980 hockey be careful that it has not been sheet cut or it will not cross. Most of my KSA submissions (both cracking out raw or submitting under the crossover service) have yielded grades one to two lower. On pre-war material give the card a thorough going over before submitting as it might not be gradeable.

At this year's National, I cossed over a '48 Bowman football Steve Van Buren (HOF RC) in PSA 8 NM-MT to a SGC 92 NM-MT+ and sold it to BMW. It was a very nice card and I received a $200 increase over the SMR price ($350) on the sale to a dealer, so I was happy. The PSA population showed none higher than the PSA 8 NM-MT - total of 13.
  • I crossed (3) SGC 88 1969 topps basketball over to psa 8.
    One sgc 88 was a psa 7.

Crossed 1971 topps trio sgc 86... It was a psa 7.

Crossed BGS 8 1980 Bird Magic... Evidence of trimming.

I haven't crossed too much, but these are my rseults.
