    If you move your lights around, you can get rid of that purple shadow on the top and bottom of the coin.

    Not shadow, purple/red toning.

    I think SAE tone funny. I had one in the window now for a little over a year and it has so real queer toning

    It is a 2002 SAE, they were stored in envelopes. The toning is real, no light tricks. The funny thing is only half the coin toned, what ever side was on the bottom. If the face of the coin was down it got the line in it. If the reverse was down, the whole reverse toned.
    It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    That type of toning on a one year old coin doesn't appeal to me (just my personal taste). In my opinion it's evidence of mishandling.
