1963 in pr-70dc or ms-68 1831 half-dime for $12,000?

    BTW- I'd choose the half dime.

    This one was also pretty neat a 1792 pcgs 64 sold for 200k.

    The 1831 MS68 has a 500% increase in face value over the 1963 PR70DCAM. I'd go for the 1/2 dime too.

    I would select the half dime without a second thought. However, if I actually had $12,000 to spend I wouldn't spend it on either coin. I don't believe the mega-grade coins are worth the premiums they get.
    The quality differences between coins graded from MS67 to MS70 are so minor I feel no particular premium is warranted. These mega-grade coins are the province of collectors with very big wallets and even bigger egos.
    All glory is fleeting.
