#2 - 72 Topps Registry Football Set For Sale

Guys,

Another reason that we should see if we can allow Carlos to hold on to his #1 rated 72 Topps Football set for a while longer is that John McLane's set is currently in the SportscardPlus auction. I don't know what the market is, but I'd bet that even John isn't buying 72's right now. If we can get Carlos past the close of John's auction (August 14), then there would be another buyer of high end 72 Football if finances still force Carlos to dismantle his masterpiece.

    BTW...Anyone know who won this set?

    With a few upgrades and filling in some holes...this set could be a monster!!!

    Hey Rob,

    Your goal to be in the top 3 by the end of the year has been met. At least for now. The person who purchased this set could add it to the registry. We could have a new player in the 1972 Football game.

    Speaking of new players. There were a lot of 72s ending on E Bay Monday night, and I was trying to buy some as usual. The usual suspects were bidding, but there were 3 new players, and man they were running up prices something fierce. The user names were luchampions & dlemon01 & cjlarsen15. Do you know who any of these guys are? I think between the 3 of them, they raised the usual prices about 30-40%. I refused to become involved in the frenzy.

    RobBob - if you want to open some good 72 football packs, contact steve hart at the bbcexchange. I know he has high numbers and maybe the other series also.
