  • We will be there on Friday and Saturday. Will have lunch at the Registry Lunch and then meetings, and more meetings. Hope to see many of you there, but these meetings will take much of the time.

  • Will be there Saturday sipping coffee in the lobby well before the
front doors open. I'll make my rounds at all the tables, looking
forward to seeing my friends, be looking for specific coins, checking
    out the 1913 nickels,etc.

  • I plan on finding

    1. TeleTrade's table to see where my money goes

    2. Pobjoy Mint Booth to link up with Danglen who will then lead me to Cosmicdebris
who I need to bop on the head for getting me hooked on darkside coins

    3. The site where people will be running, screaming in terror - that's where I will find Airplanenut.

Breakfast before the show and dinner after it closed. I don't eat during the day at a show, no time. Frankly I'd skip breakfast but I'm usually with my father and he eats evey couple hours. Makes it very difficult to get to those early meetings. I mean I love the guy and everything but he takes an hour to an hour and a half to eat a meal and then three hours later he wants to eat again. If I'm alone I'm in and out in 15 to 20 min and won't eat again for 14 to 16 hrs or more. I've missed many a 9 AM meeting waiting for him to finish eating. (and he doesn't eat that much, 2 eggs, 2 pieces bacon, slice of toast, 45 minutes! image)

Here's my schedule for Friday, August 1:

    10:00 Register
10:05 Go to PCGS, say hello, get my pin.
10:10 Go to front of convention center and page Russ

    Bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha

10:15 Look for anything dated 1964 with funny hair.
11:30 Take luncheon door prize ticket to Kinkos and make 100 copies
12:00 Registry lunch at Sheraton, sit at table reserved for banned members.
12:15 Against incredible odds, collect all three door prizes.
12:30 Pretend to be Edson and accept 1964 Kennedy Proof Short Set award
1:00 Ask everyone at table "What's new in Coinalot?"
2:00 Return to convention center and have Diane Hager paged.

    Bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha

2:01 Escorted from building by security. On the way out, trip over wheelbarrow of 600 bananas.

    1. First thing, head for NGC table to get sample slab for Cameron.
    2. Go to PCGS table to pick up coin show submission I put in today.

After that, I will be visiting many table and exhibitions. Plus I expect to run into a bunch of members during the shows duration. image

After holding the 1804 dollar in my hands today, the rest is all downhill!

Can't believe I didn't see mdwoods today, it wasn't packed (PNG day) and I was there a good long time.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
