Kennedy Experts: Help needed....1971 PR Ty 1??

Ok guys, I have never heard of this but I just bought a 1971 proof set that has been stored for 20+ years and it is labeled by the now departed collector as "Type 1, Thin date and Motto, no serif on 1, thin open 9." I have never heard of this but was wondering if anyone else has? You can tell some numbers and letters are thin compared to what I have. Any input is appreciated. A keeper or another addition to the junk I shouldn't have bought pile?? I can't post pics because my Sony digital camera won't take any pic less than 150kb.

This is a fantastic question to Russ, Raycyca and Bear.
I checked in my books and no mention to this "varieties", but I just have few books.
My modest opinion is that a “career-end” die proof that produce bad quality relief.

It sounds like a DMR-14, and the book says it has a URS of 1. Wiles shows it has above average value at $30 in PR65, but that applies to the very narrow market of die variety collectors.

BTW, I should note that the URS numbers listed for the Kennedy series are pretty useless.
