1972 P Ike Varitiey Values?

If the Ike registry is changed to include the three 1972P Ike varities, will some of the lower grade Ike type 1 and type 2 coins become more valuable? I was just wondering if I should be trying to cherrypick some of the type 1 and type 2 Ikes in lower grades?

The values will adjust most for the higher grades MS64 and up. The lower grades for the Type II are already more valuable.

The lower grades for the type I shouldn't move as no one really wants them, and that coin is not that rare, much like the different reverses on the 39 nickels. This will not apply to the type II.

The real winners will be the Type I in 64 + and the 65+ Type II's.

Always worth cherrypicking ANY Type 2, and the others in gem are very rewarding as well.

    So get crackin'! image

Thanks for all the information. Let's see how I am doing on identification. Is this a type 1?

I think you are correct on both. The Type 2 looks like it may be circulated.

Yes on the Type 1. I'm not sure I agree with the PCI grade, though. image

Tough to tell on the Type 2 from the fuzzy photo, though it looks like it. It's also definitely circulated, and appears to have some planchet damage (or fabulous mint error, depending on your perspective image) on the reverse where copper is visible. I've seen that on some other coins, including a Type 2 that I had.
