Silver Coins in Change

Wonders never cease, I got a war nickel in change at the McDonald's drive-in the other day. Now, if I can just find a couple thousand more of them, I can afford to go to Baltimore next week

Prior to this, the last one I've gotten in circulation was about 20 years ago! What's everyone else finding these days?

I got a 64 Kennedy when I cashed a check at the bank last week, and a month ago, i got a beat up SLQ from Kroger's.

A friend of mine found 1945 and 1939 Mercury dimes laying in the street yesterday. Does that count?

I found a silver war nickel in change my dad got at a casino last year. I also found a silver Canadian dime in my change a few years ago, and some 40% percent silver halves in rolls from the bank.

Kind of OT but I got a SBA in change today as a quarter. Didn't recognize it until I got home.....the cashier is Chinese.

I frequently find silver in rolls of half dollars.

Casino's.................that's the place to find some cool numis stuff.................I used to go to Jackpot NV, just south of Boise (old home) and always came home with a handful or two of war nickels...........and when I was bored with the gambling, I would get as many rolls of halves as I could and go up to the room and find many 90% and 40%........sometimes enough to pay for the trip!!!!

I cant remember the last time I got a war nickel in change BUT, I have found some in all the rolls
I,ve been searching through as of late.
When I find one, a little light goes off in my head and I think to myself ,`BINGO` `Cherried another`
Nearly always they are AG-G, but I did find one that was EF40 at the very least. That one sorta blew me away.

I pulled a nice 1932 quarter out of the register on Monday. It was a nice AU with some luster left. To bad one of my co-workers "borrowed" it to get a soda

I hardly ever find anything in change. However I did get a '68 Kennedy in change. I asked if they had more and ended up with about 8 of them.
