Steve Eberhardt -- Good Guy!

Steve just contacted me via e-mail about some cards I needed for my 1975 Topps set and sold them to me at an extremely reasonable price. Even though he wouldn't ever ask for accolades, I feel that such a good deed should not go unrecognized. Thanks again Steve!

BTW -- This ties into another thread about whether or not to show your incomplete set on the Registry. I just listed this set yesterday, and today I bought 16 cards to help me towards my goal. This was my experience on my other sets I once had as well. However, On my 1951 Bowman set, I did hide the details once I was within 20 or so cards of completing it in all PSA 8 or better.

When I was doing my '71 set I bought a few cards from him on Ebay.

    I agree, good guy.

Steve, you got a '78, '79, or '81 (Fleer) Pepe Frias in 9 or better? image

David> Steve was a tremendous help to me in finishing my 75 set. One of the good ones, to be sure.

How can I contact him? I've frustratingly given up on what I thought was a good source (a regular board member here) to help complete 3 raw/graded sets. PM me in keeping confidential if you like.

    David,

Steve has done the same for me. He is a great person to deal with - very highly recommended.

I'm also glad you pointed out the thing about keeping your set visible on the registry - it helps big time, doesn't it? For any of you that would argue with me, I am almost 98% complete on my 1970 set, and thanks to ChrisKK (and having my set visible), I have added two cards to my set and upgraded another two cards.

Thanks again Chris. More accolades will be coming within the next week or so. Email me for details.

    JEB.

  • I have also benefited from Steve's generosity. He sold me a '71 Topps Super Tony Perez PSA 9 for a very reasonable price. I hope to have more dealings with him in the future. Thanks alot Steve!

Even though I always think he misspelled "Seinfeld" when I see his moniker, I must also give Steve big ups, too. My 71 Greatest Moments set would be a much lesser set without him, and I think I've gotten some 75s from him as well. He was the first to hit 100% on the 75 set, IIRC, and even though he broke it down a little he's still going.
    WANTED:
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

    Nothing on ebay
  • I can't let this thread go by without tipping my hat to Steve as well. He is a great guy both when dealing in cards or other conversations. He is well versed in many "domestic construction" jobs too!

Thanks for helping me with my 71 Greatest Moments Set Steve!image

Steve is okay. If he was a really nice guy he would sell me the Kaline PSA 9 and the Johnson 7 from the GM set. I have your cards here from the Nationals when you are ready to come by.
    Great guy to know.
