Ebay implications of a Atlantic City National

I am wondering if there will be a big upswing in quality cards hitting eBay in the next month or two after the National (from dealers buying at the show). Since the show is in Atlantic city...I wonder how many cards will be sold to dealers for quick cash (not top dollar) to compensate for unforseen losses at the casinos.

Don't know... But, I'm hoping that prices dip as auctions close while 25% of the card collecting world is in Atlantic City.

John-I usually look forward to the Auctions that are after the National when the big dealers pick up some great stuff. Your point about the casinos is a great one, I bet Smokey's in Las Vegas made out okay on that before they were shut down.

I've noticed that for the last week or so, the items that I collect seem to have disappeared considerably from eBay. I have also noticed that of the items are available, I've got them a little bit cheaper than usual. I figured this had to do with the Nationals.

Don't see much difference in my bidding or selling thanks to the snipe. I'm down in AC now and I don't think people will be selling their Mantles to finance trips to the Casinos.

I've also noticed the dearth of listings, at least for vintage items. I'm on my "Ultimate PSA Sampler" quest, and so I'm searching for cards from multiple sets.

Maybe the big guys knew they'd be out of town this week so they didn't start any auctions that would end when they weren't around.
