    that wasn't the case (if you can't beat em, join em). he has a sick daughter and he lives in Houston or somewhere else in TX and was said to be interested in joining the rockets but i guess any of the 3 TX teams would do.

    It's a sad thing to see Horry leave.. especially to those boring Spurs.. oh well.. I wish him the best of luck image

    True to that image. They went after EVERY single big FA this year (Malone, Kidd, Jermaine O'Neal, Olowokandi, Elton Brand, PJ Brown, etc, etc..) and they ended up with Nesterovic for 6 years, and a $42 million contract. That's just freakin' hilarious image.

    Hm, why would a team sign a FA? Why did SA sign Nesterovic? Why is there a rumor that they will get 2 free players in Turkogly & Mercer? Maybe because a team wants to IMPROVE itself? LOL! Man you should stick to some other sport.. Seriously.

    Hypocrite? Yes. Malone is experienced, he's 40 years old, any dumb kidd can see that he hasn't much time left in the NBA, but what's wrong with that? You Spurs chased him as well, and were throwing major deals at him, now that's just being hypocrite (and yes, a tad jealous image)

    Oh btw, D-Rob IS and WAS better than Nesterovic. Maybe his stats didn't show it, but he was a big mental support for Duncan and obviously the TRUE leader of that team.

    It just amazes and amuses me how everyone knows what the Spurs did or didn't do to recruit players. You all have no idea what really went on here. I live here and was hearing stuff that y'all have no idea about, lol... Our local reporters get the inside stuff. First of all, Pop made 1 phone call to Malone, made him 1 offer out of respect and that was it. After all, we have beaten Malone how many times straight now? You think we really made a big effort to get him! LOL!! If the Lakers fans think that Malone and Payton are their god sends then let them have their dreams. Who was that that was running circles around Payton the last couple of years? Oh yes, Tony Parker! Even Paytons dad got on him for letting "the kid" show him up, lol...As far as Kidd was concerned, we did try for him because of the money we have to play with this year, and we would have been ridiculed if we didn't, but no one seriously thought we would get him here, nor did the fans want him. He knows he has it better in the East, and his career isn't that much longer anyway. Face it, the group of free agents this year was very poor, and I am pleased we got the younger of the lot. Who's to say Nestorivic won't improve now that he is with a quality team with better coaching? At least he is coachable. This debate could go on and on, but let's just wait and see what happens when the season starts. If I remember correctly, everyone picked us to finish in 4th place last year, lol.... I trust Pop's decisions, people thought he was nuts in getting Parker and Ginobili too. He has a knack for getting the right people to fit in our system. As for Horry coming, he has a sick daughter in Houston and wanted to play here in Texas to be near her. I commend him for caring about his family. Something not a lot of players seem to do these days, too busy worrying about their selfish egos....Anyway, don't worry about the Spurs, we will do just fine, and I will love my team, win or lose.. image
