Complete HOF baseball set question

The new complete set has been loaded with all the changes many of you recommended to me in a previous post. However, one HOFer has been brought to my attention.. Judge (Kenesaw) Landis. The set requires a card from 1920-1944, however I am told that PSA does not grade any cards within that time period for this HOFer.
Can anyone confirm that for me and if it is true, should Landis be removed from the set or are there any cards significant enough in later years to leave him in?

What you have been told is indeed true. Judge Landis (who, on an unrelated note, has the absolute messiest/worst autograph of any Baseball HOFer) never appeared on a baseball card during his tenure as commissioner. In fact -- I don't think too many baseball officials at that time made their way onto baseball cards. Only managers and coaches in the 1950s -- with a few exceptions here and there.
The 1961 Fleer Set has a nice card of Landis, #53 in the set. It depicts an old man with a hat on, looking out into the upper right sky. Not sure if he is looking confused or not -- but he certainly does not look stern, angry and mean! It is a fairly popular set, collected by many, and it should not be hard for any set registrant to find and add that card to their set. My suggestion would be to include that one in the HOF registry.

I know you stick to the player's playing days as far as which cards are allowed in the set, but don't you think some rookie cards belong in there? Specifically, as I was looking down the list, I noticed that you have Carl Yastrzemski listed for 1961-1984. Granted, those are his playing years, but even the Yaz master and basic sets include the 1960 Topps card. I didn't look for others, but I think the limit on "playing years" should be only on the end of the player's career, not at the beginning.
By the way, here is a complete list of Landis cards from Beckett's website (Hey, it's useful for stuff like this )

aro: Basically in responding to BJ's question [any cards significant enough ), I gave my guesstimate that the Fleer cards were more significant, collected and available than the Callahans.
