OK! Who is the Kellogg's Wise Guy????

A few months ago I stated on a post to avoid damage to a PSA card and the holder, I always ship the slab in a sleeve, and place it in bubble wrap or a small padded envelope inside a bigger padded envelope, and I've never had a damaged card complaint. So 2 days later I received a Clemens Topps rookie PSA-8 w/ 2 stamps on the slab and a mailing label on the card, and no damage was to the slab or card.

Now today,I receive a Mickey Lolich 1970 Kelloggs shipped the same way, again w/ no damage to the card or slab. It has some differences to the Clemens card. Clemens had a diff mailing label typed out, the Lolich has it hand written (And they spelled "Cavalcade" wrong). Clemens had the label and stamps on the card back, Lolich on the card front and Lolich has clear tape across the card. So which one of you Kelloggs Kollectors are to blame? ZARDOZ perhaps?, KINK KELLOGG?, GEMMINTMAN? or perhaps another demented Kelloggs Konnoisseur? Will the guilty party please step foward! ...jay

Well, at least you know it's a modern kard kollector.
Why do I get the feeling, that some cards are worth money, while others are not?

What town is on the post mark?

DUDE - I can only make out "OO" in the town. This individual was too clever, as they had tape over the stamps and label so everythings blurry. Plus you wouldn't expect them to use their own hometown to ship would you? Oh NO! we are dealing w/ a demented genius hereimage ...jay

Jay, now that's funny! But alas it's not me as I'm not quite that demented. It does however say something about the durability of the Kellogg's card not cracking as the postman delivered it unprotected through rain, sleet, snow, or more likely burning heat.

    qualitycards...

    Jay...

I AM that demented, however I would only ship my K Kards in a 2 foot by 2 foot titanium, pressure sealed, humidor. Packed with only the finest "virgin" wool known to man. K Kards are tough, but so was John Wayne, and you saw "The Duke" always riding in plush limo's.image

    Nice pic Jay...

(Psst...Hey GMM and Z...looks like 0 points on this one...A classic, but no cigar...Hmmmm...)

demented YES, genius well o.k. if you insist.

i am like the guy who took 1 olive out of each bottle and saved the company millions. how much can we save on bubble mailers and packing material?

how much time can we save by mispelling the company name? each letter adds up.

my point is that psa holders are not as easy to crack as you think. and how many cards actually get lost or stolen in the mail. i sent from fla. to pa. with no envelope and no damage.

jay i wanted you to get it in time to take to the nationals, you should be able to sell it and pay for your trip or maybe a coke

You see, boys and girls that a Kelloggs Kollector is a special breed, often stated that they are 2 scoops short of a full box. I too was a Kelloggs Kollector and worked my way to near completion of the inaugural '70 Kelloggs set, only to switch gears and sell the contents to DAVALILLO (the Kelloggs arch rival) - So I suspect I've been a hated target ever since.

My apoligies to ZARDOZ, KING K, & GEMINTMAN for calling you a genius, OK a demented genius. I should have realized that the 3 of you combined couldn't pony up the .74 cents shipping for this masterful project. But FAB4 is the culprit of this evil deed, I now have to keep my eyes and ears open at all times. Funny thing though, since the card was shipped without a holder or any documents to sign for it, anyone could have pocketed it along the Atlantic Coast from Fla to PA, but how would I have known it was missing since I was never expecting it? So boys & girls, ladies and gents, feel free to send Mantles, Roses, Clementes and such the same way and we will see how reliable the postal service is, feel free to send quantity as well as quality, the address can be taken from the Lolich. Will see who sends me the 1st PSA 1933 Goudey Ruth. I thank you all for a good laugh on a boring Thursdayimage ...jay
