    Here's the U.S. Mint's web site on it.
    According to the website, they will be available August 1, 2003.

    Glad to have helped! I'll agree that these are some butt-ugly looking coins. The only reason I'll be buying them is that I'm an aviation nut.

    I was told by the Mint that they would have examples on display in Baltimore. The estimated release date is Aug. 1

    Any guesses on what the price will be on the 10 dollar gold? The last ten doallar gold coin was the 84 Olympic and if I remember correctly they went for 325 in Uncirculated.

  • I agree with Tootawl, they are definitely butt-ugly. One would think a little extra effort would go into a commemorative coin that is produced only once. IMHO something needs to happen to add some pizazz to the US coins.
