is this autograph real?

someone dealer in my area has a derek jeter autograph baseball. the only problem is that the baseball is an official NATIONAL league baseball, and jeter, whose with the yankees all his life, is in the AMERICAN league. do ball players look to see which kind of ball are the signing? could this ball be fake? it has a COA from some minor place, but as you all know, autos and COA's can easily be faked. what do y'all think?

It's going to be hard to tell if the balls auto is real but i would ask for the pic, compare it to his other autos and check the history behind the dealers past autos and other collectibles. But most likely, Jeter didnt look to see what ball it was, I dont think he would really care.

Players dont look to see what type of ball, heck they would sign a tee league ball if you handed it to him
