  • Yet another beautiful St Gaudens, Frank.

My initial reaction loking at the coin was MS65. However looking at it with more discretion, I'd have to say MS64.

This one is tough to grade from the scan. I'd have to see it in person to give a better opinion.

Nice shot though. You've really captured the luster of the coin well.
  • 64, maybe 65 on a good day.

Based on the photo I'd say MS-66 but I wouldn't be surprised if some marks didn't show up in the picture that render it a 65.

I had this coin in my hands today. I'll let Frank tell you the grade when he gets back from the show but I will tell you that some of you are right.image

Must've been a good day - every day for this beauty, as it resides in an MS65 holder - with a lot of people saying that it belongs in a 66 holder. Bytheway John - it was great seeing you today! - Still drooling??? image

    Frank,
What a beauty. I've dreamed about owning one of those for 20 years. Is this your coin?

    Frank,
Uh, you got me. Quite a toss up - that 1795 is just awesome!!! OK, I'll take both. Tell your friend he can play swap meet with me any time he wants.

Difficult choice but I'd have to go with the 1795 Half Eagle.
