This is a pretty one! I've decided to put a type set in an album, and I still like that greyish toning, along with rainbow colors. The grey 1920 and 1917 that I have will be in the set as they match better, so to make room in my wallet (and for the upcoming Baltimore show), I have decided that now is the time to sell this wonderful coin. I've had it for a few months, but I just feel now is the right time to sell.
Truly, this coin is unique. The obverse features nice luster, with a light blue-grey tone... then, POW! A rainbow! All of the colors are here! Green, yellow, red, purple, blue, pink, orange! WOW! Color is hard to find on SLQs, and I'd be willing to bet that real rainbows are much harder. The detail has less of a rainbow, but still some nice teal, orange, and yellow at the top of the rim.
The detail on this coin is great, and a small amount of wear brings its grade to a pleasing About Uncirculated. With the color, this coin is truly a gem example of a slightly circulated standing liberty quarter.
I'll offer this coin, including insured delivery, for $83. Paypal (no credit cards), checks, or money orders are acceptable. The picture below was taken with white, incandescent light. The colors weren't played with at all... I trimmed the image, scaled it down, and saved it.
Thank you for looking.
