Toned Coins- Cents thru Dollars with Errors! Proof and MS! Yay! Prices LOWERED

I have some really cool coins for sale... toned to all colors you could possibly want image I'm not too good with the toning premium, so feel free to counteroffer- I won't be offended at all... I just might not say yes image

I've done my best to capture the toning as I saw it under a Reveal 60W light or a regular, white bulb (each coin is noted, and frankly, I don't see much of a difference any more between the two light sources, so long as the light source is strong)- sometimes the angle matters to see the vibrance of the color... rotating any coin in the light will give you some great results. I'm doing my best with the descriptions, but if you still have questions, don't hesitate to ask.

$1 for shipping, and I'll add a tad more if the weight goes up- paypal (no credit cards), checks, money orders... they're all good image

Now for the coins! Wooo!!!

CENTS
----------------------------------

1964 Proof Cent with Metallic Blue, Red, and Purple- $18 (white light) Sold image

obverse
reverse

This is really a bizarre one. I can't quite explain it, but there is a wave of blue on the obverse, separated from the copper-red by a stop-sign red line. On the reverse, there is some purple along that same red line. There is some spotting on the obverse. I talked with an ANACS grader, and he said it's likely natural... I agree because I have another one like this still in an unopened proof set... this is really a stunner!

1968 Uncirculated Cent (I don't see any wear, so a WAG would be MS65BN due to the toning image)- $7 (reveal) Sold image

obverse
reverse pic 1
reverse pic 2

This one is quite nice- the obverse has a purple background with red radiating from around the bust. The reverse isn't as exciting- mostly purple and red with some patches of green, blue, and orange. The reverse is more subdued and pastel colored- there are also some spots.

1968-S Proof Cent- $8 (reveal) now $6

reverse

Great mirrors and great toning! On the watery obverse mirrors and must, gorgeous rainbow shades float- yellow, green, blue, red, orange! Not amazingly vibrant, but truly beautiful. The reverse has a small amount of red toning, but nothing major. There is some spotting on both sides.

--------------------------------------

1983-S Proof Cent #2- $6.50 (reveal) now $4

obverse
reverse

This one isn't as spectacular as it's predecessor, but is still nice. On the obverse, there is a small amount of color, mostly light, pastel reds and greens, which take away most of the mirrors. The coin's strong point is definitely the reverse. On decent mirrors lies an enormous amount of color- neon reds, yellows, greens, blues, purples- you name it, it's on this coin. The reverse would make a nice sign on the Vegas Strip, if you ask me.

NICKELS

----------------------------

1913 Type 2 Neon-Toned Buffalo- SOLD image(white light)

Reverse

Here is a coin that you just don't see every day. This type 2 buffalo has seen a small amount of circulation, thus is walking the AU line. What's different, though, is the great color that this nickel has. The obverse has numerous neon hues, especially green, red, and yellow. The reverse features the same, but the fields are almost entirely orangey-yellow and are incredibly smooth. The coin is considerably mark-free. It is hard to sell this one, but I have two similar pieces, and I have chosen to keep one for a type set and sell this basically at cost. I hope this coin can fit in your collection- it is sure to please.

DIMES
---------------------------

1957 Uncirculated (full band) and Toned Dime- $6 (white light) SOLD

obverse
reverse

Here's a pretty one. The obverse is streaked with some nice blue-green, red, and orange. The reverse is mostly white, with some blue-green and purple in the lower periphery. Luster is beaming through where it can. Also, if full band is judged on the top band alone, then I think this coin has it... nicely split, at least as I can see.

1985-S Proof MONSTER toned Dime with PLANCHET CRACK- SOLD

The Cracks
Thread Discussing the Coin

This is another funky one. It is red all over the reverse, and around part of the reverse periphery... the color is deep, and so is the cameo. After talking with some of the leading experts in numismatic errors, it has been determined that the coin does have a cracked planchet, which, as I was told, should command a premium... then consider the toning image I think the price is fair, and I think the coin is great!

HALF DOLLARS

1954 Franklin, MS63.5- $22 (reveal, I think) now $20

The Bell
The Thread Where it was discussed

Here is a nice one that is on the border between MS63 and MS64. On the obverse, there is a beautiful golden orange. The reverse, contrastingly, is white. All over, the coin is lustrous. The bell lines are full, except interrupted with a hit, so the designation is, sadly, lost. Non the less, this is a great coin that you would be glad to own.

1963-D MS64.5 possibly FBL Franklin- $65 (reveal, I think) now $58

Reverse
The Bell
The Thread Where it was discussed

WOW! This is a nice Franklin! The obverse is not only lustrous, but has light gold/green tone all over, with some rainbow reds and even a hint of blue at the toning's edge. The reverse is a lustrous, blast white. The bells are oh so close to FBL, but it was said that for this issue, they come like this normally, and PCGS could be forgiving and give out the much-loved designation. The grade, too, is on the line of MS64 and MS65. It is a pretty coin, and I think the great luster and color would bump it to the MS65. MS65 trends at $80, and MS65FBL at $250. If this coin doesn't sell, I will be strongly considering slabbing this one to find out its grade. It's a great chance to get a great coin.

Bon appetit!
