THE PCGS POPS:
MS:
60-D S/L: Total Pop 42 - RED(42) 64=14 / 65=23 / 66=5
69S: Total Pop 17 - BN(14) VG/VF=1 / XF45=1 / AU50=2 / AU55=4 / AU58=5 / MS62=1, RB(1) 62=1, RED(2) 64=1 / 65=1
70-S: Total Pop 25 - BN(4) AU58=3 / MS64=1, RB(3) MS63=1 / MS64=2, RED(18) MS64=14 / MS65=2 / MS66=2
71: Total Pop 13 - RB(2) MS63=2, RED(11) AU58=1 / MS62=1 / MS63=3 / MS64=4 / MS65=2 Arguably the ABSOLUTE RAREST MS Double Die Lincoln if strictly based on the pops but NOT the most desirable due to less impressive doubling than the 69-S or the 70-S.
PR:
1960 L/S Total Pop 50 - RED(50) 65=1 / 66=6 / 67=31 / 68=11 / 69=1 Any opinion on the preference of the FS-023 vs. the FS-025?
1960 S/L Total Pop 17 - RED(15) 66=4 / 67=10 / 68=1, CAM(1) 67=1, DCAM(1) 66=1 - Arguably the ABSOLUTE RAREST Proof Lincoln Overall (not just among Doubled Dies) if strictly based on the pops. Also, as far as CAM & DCAM's are concerned, also the rarest (or at least tied for such) of those that have ANY CAM's or DCAM's at all among their pops.
1971-S DD Total Pop 38 - RED(31) 64=3 / 65=1 / 66=12 / 67=14 / 68=1, CAM(6) 64=1 / 66=2 / 67=2 / 68=1, DCAM(1) 66=1 Any opinion on the preference of the FS-032 vs. the FS-033 & the FS-033.1?

By the way, your icon is wacked on PCP! it needs some serious antipsychotics.
Here's a question right back at you...which of those four is the most overvalued right now?

as the 1958 DD. About 10 years ago I bid $22,000 for one in a private closed bid auction
and ended up the under bidder. I sold my 69S DD PCGS XF45 to jack Baymer about 6 or 7 years
ago.

I have a question for you.Which of the 4 coins listed is the most doubled?
What is the value (price) of a 1969 s DDO in PCGS ms 64 red?
What is the value (price) of a 1970 s DDO in PCGS ms 64 red?
What is the value (price) of a 1971 DDO in PCGS ms 64 red?
How about the price of a 65 red or a 66 red?

To Reply To Your Inquires:
I think the 69-S takes the cake. I actually get dizzy looking at a picture of it's doubling. As to the values I can only guess that the 69-S in 64 red is about a $125,000 coin and the 70-S is around a $6-10k (but it seems overpriced) coin right now and the 71 if you can find one is around a $2,500 coin. These are just guesses and observations and the regirgitation of what others have told me although I've personally seen the prices on the 70-S in that range. As for prices above 64 RD one can only speculate.

rookies sheesh.
the 69s/70s. ddo are very rare, and both are in the 10,000$ range .
but the truth be known they haven't been selling very well.
the lone 72ddo in pcgs 68 would be the king and always will untill there's another.
this coin is a real monster.

1. The 1969-S is flat-out not in the same ballpark as the 1970-S.
2. Please point me at any $10,000 range 1969-S DDOs that are not selling and I will take care of that problem.
3. Estimated surviving population of the 1969-S DDO is ~20 coins (maybe a bit low but not by too much IMO). For comparison PCGS has certified 16 (or more) MS RED 1970-S DDO coins.
4. The latest Heritage auction result shows that a PCGS MS62RB 1969-S DDO sold for $16,675 in Jan. 2000. Some other choice prices realized from that same timeframe: 1910 MS67RD $2185, 1912 MS66RD $719, 1922 No D MS62RB $2760. At that time I remember buying PCGS MS67RD dates like the 1948-D, 1951-D and 1954-D for $25 and earlier dates such as the 1927, 1928 and 1929 were easy to find at $400-$500. Just trying to put $17K for a Lincoln in perspective.
So I think you missed the mark on the 1969-S, Rob. I think that if the pop1/1 PCGS MS64RD 1969-S DDO were available for sale now that redcents' estimated price is very realistic.
rookies sheesh.

Maybe off topic but an astute observation. Just how much is a 1958 DD (2 known?) worth these days? I'm usually pretty good at guessing price levels but that one...I have no idea.
