I was amazed when I sat for an hour this morning searching through a box of "junk" Indian Head Cents looking for varieties when I came across two IHCs that caught my eye.

1) 1892 with a smal clip. I bought it even though it was well worn. A nice error to add to the collection.

2) 1872 good condition. I figured, what the hell.....for a dollar, I cannot go wrong.

So, I bought both of them for $2.00 total.

Sometimes, it does pay off to search those junk boxes.

Nice! My best junk box find was a 1874 IHC. It had obviously been in the ground and the date was barely readable but the coin looked to be a G with a little careful "curating". I'll post a pic if I can find it. It's pretty ugly.
