1972s

Anyone know who this new guy is on ebay PSUinNYC...guy has outbid me for a # of cards and Ive never seen him before in any auction, seemingly willing to pay anything for 9s, wonder if he is going to make a run at the set or if he is already listed on the registry. Certainly would be good for the value of 1972 commons as this guy is routinely paying $150 per.

Eric> I have no idea who he is. But. . .if you don't want to pay the high prices, why not find the cards in raw form and submit them yourself? The other side of this is that any 8s you get, you can use for trade bait.

To the contrary, given that I already ahve 75% of the set in 9 or above I love seeing the high prices! Hope this guy keeps going nuts and that more like him come along, just raises the value of what I've already put together.

Good luck in dealing with him, Eric. I know my budget doesn't allow me to consistently bid high dollar amounts for PSA9s. As a result, I've tried to develop my "eye", find them raw, and submit them myself. It is more work, but much better suited to my budget and my goals for the set.
    Again, good luck.

    Eric,

Between his bids and a couple of misfired eSnipes - this hasn't been a good week for me and 72's. But, he outbid me fair and square on some PSA 10's at over $400 apiece. So, I've had money to put into some other sets and can put more away for Nationals.

Have no idea who PSUinNYC is. But, I'm not worried... the 72 set is not a sprint - its a frikken marathon!
