I checked out your auctions. I respect the low start and no reserve. One day we should cut a deal -- I don't live far from you so I could pick up the stuff, save shipping, let you tell everyone you met me in person -- but most importantly, pay you in cash

About your current auctions -- why wouldn't you accept a personal check from a fellow board member with perfect feedback? It's very inconvenient for me to have to go get a certified check or money order. This makes me think you don't love me and want to nurture a long-term relationship. It's not good to start a relationship with this much distrust.

Personal checks take time to clear. My experience has been bad very bad, if a check bounces I lose money. I have no problem excepting a check if the person is willing to wait. Wait until I am 100 % sure that the funds are there and that I am not going to lose money. What has happened to me is that after a person writes the check they believe I am going to release the item within a few days. That check is typically not presented that quickly.

If you think you have hit a nerve, you have. Checks bounce, I lose money then I chase people for weeks and months on end with very little recourse. It's not a pretty scene.

I totally understand, and noted. I take pride in being the kind of person anyone would want to do business with, it's a shame that there are so many game-players. Thanks for clarifying, I will keep you in mind.
