A few coins i picked up at the MidAmerica show

Here are a few coins i picked up at the MidAmerica show in Rosemont this past weekend. What do you think the Bust half would grade (i'm sending it to PCGS so i'll post what they think it is when i get it back)

Good question that i don't have an answer to. I was just walking around and this one just jumped out at me as i was making my last rounds before i left. I know nothing about bust halves all i know is this one has the eye appeal i like. I'm sure i paid to much for it (compared to other VF/XF bust halves) but this is one i'll enjoy owning for a long time.
  • I did forget to mention that it is a very nice coin, I've been thinking of picking up a few when I find them reasonable myself.

It is fairly common to this area weakly struck on some halves.

The Bust half is only a VF coin; from the image, it looks nice. Congrats on your newps.

Nice looking Bust half. The PLUR is opposite the bust area of the obverse.... lots of room for metal to flow into the bust resulting in the weak strike on the motto. Very commom weak area.

I wasn't sure about buying a raw coin in a series i know nothing about but this looks like i got lucky and bought a coin that was actually graded correctly. So far there have been 2 votes for VF and 2 votes for XF I bought it as a VF+ Just goes to show that there are still a few honest raw coin dealers around. It's just to bad i didn't grab a business card because i already forgot who i got it from.image
