I got my first negative.

KAJ1KAJ1 Posts: 777 ✭✭✭
I sold a SAE. box in April. The guy never contacted me .He said it never showed.
I would have made good even though I sent it. It's a $2.99 item.
I still can't belive he never contacted me. Why would he wait 2 months?

So , how do I get rid of this ?

Thanks,
Kevin

I believe others have said that if you respond with profanity, ebay will delete the buyers remarks. A little extreme but it might do the trick. Wait for others to confirm this.

I thought they would NARU for that?
  • Explain your side in the feedback response area.
    Merc collector.
  • Reply to the feedback with the date you shipped and that the buyer never contacted you. Something like: “shipped x/xx buyer never contacted me to resolve”

Did you leave feedback for them? If not, you need to leave them a neg saying that they claimed they never received them item and refused to contact you for resolution.

Won’t do you much good but it will hopefully make the buyer think twice about leaving negative feedback without at least trying to work it out first.

I agree that #1. you'll have to live with it and #2 you need to post a response that explain's your side. I'd suggest something like...

"Buyer never told me that he didn't receive this $3 item"

Otherwise, the best you can do is to attempt to politely contact the buyer, ask what you can do to make it right. Example, send an email like "I'm sorry you did not recieve the item. I would have expected it to have arrived by now because it was shipped on xx/xx/xxxx. I'll be happy to issue you a refund to make this deal right".

Then, after you have confirmed the buyer is happy, ask him to post a followup to his neg indicating you made good on the deal.

I have 8 negatives, all from NPBs image and I expect more as I leave negatives after four weeks and three emails thru EBay still result in no pay. Two of em said I ripped them off and they had each paid me. Both in a serious of heated emails both admitted they had not paid me. Somehow, their lack of payment was my fault. One claimed I tried to rip him off in the negative comment left by shilling (buyer's remorse, his 3rd transaction on EBay). There is always one grade A idiot in the mix. Don't let it bother you. That sucks. eBay won't remove that (but I do know for a fact they have done it for certain Powersellers in the past).

Suggestion for the future- I send everything USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation or USPS Registered Mail if it's really
expensive. That way I know it got there and the buyer knows I'm aware of it's arrival. It's a little more expensive, but if it's
too much for the bidder they can choose not to bid.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

  • After I ship a coin, I email the buyer stating it was shipped and attache a postal receipt to the email.
Receipt from post office contains the zip code on receipt. I've never have any problems of that nature

  • Square trade has a service to remove negs.

Look for there info on Ebay. Final cost if successful: $40.00. Not successful, $20.00.

Ebay feedback is a cesspool. If you have principles, eventually you run into a buyer or seller who just flat out lies his fanny off. No matter what you do, both of you look like jerks. What a great system. A better system is to buy in person at shows/auctions or pay a dealer you trust 5% to find it.
