Regrade vs. Reholder

I have five PCGS certified coins that need at least reholdered. I was wondering if I sent them in for regrade, and PCGS deemed them to be the correct grade, would they reholder them or just send them back to me as is.

Of the five only one (I believe could be MS-64 instead of MS-63). The others look correct to me. So, I need to figure out if I should send in the one for regrade. I just don't want to get it back in the old (smaller) holder.

Thanks

They'll come back in the new holders.

If I am correct, PCGS removes coins from the old holder when sent in for regrades, so even if the grades came back the same, you would have at least a new style re-holdered coin, without the risk of getting a lower grade. The thing is you have to way the cost difference, if its worth, just getting reholdered or trying for an upgrade. You mentioned that you have one thats worth a shot?

The shipping out and back is going to be the same regardless of which direction you choose(so nill that)

5 reholderd will cost you 25.00 + shipping (and slow as all)

5 at the regular service (regrade) will be 150.00 + shipping (15 day)

Is the coin that your thinking that will upgrade worth the additional 125.00 if it were to make it to a 64?

You have to submit to the same service tier per shipment, so you cant do various service levels in the same shipment!
