Choices - Raw vs. PCI

If you had a choice of buying 13 raw uncirculated Morgans or 13 certified uncirculated Morgans from PCI, which would you choose? This assumes the Grey Sheet ASK on each is no more than $40 (in other words not really worth enough to submit to PCGS).

I'd have no preference one way or the other. I'd want to see the coins, and want a return policy.

Personally I would treat them all as raw coins and judge them accordingly.

I would treat the PCI coins as raw coins, and therefore sight seen only on all.

    Brian.
  • I would bid or pay the same based on the coin's appearance, no premium for the holder
  • I would treat the PCI as if they were in a 2x2. I have no added confidence in them.

  • That was a pretty unanimous reply.

There are nice coins in PCI holders, and there is crap. Buy the coin not the holder.imageimage

I believe the raw coins would more likely be problem-free than the PCI (Gold label) coins.
