Dave,
I have been seeing a large number of coins that have been slabbed by PCGS and other grading services with "one in a million" toning offered on eBay. Many of these look AT to me. I am sure that this many doctored coins (if indeed that is the case) would not slip by your graders without rasing serious questions. Have you ever heard/seen examples of coins being toned after they have been slabbed?
Specifically I am wondering if a coin in a PCGS slab would/could tone if the slab were exposed to vapors from some reactive chemical over a period of days?
Thanks,
Michael
