MWOODS/GSAGUY 50TH BIRTHDAY PARTY BASH!

OK - THIS IS NOT A CU SPONSORED EVENT TO BE SURE! On either Jul 30 or Jul 31, 2003 in Baltimore after the coin show in the evening on one of those nights, I want to organize THE MARK WOODS/GSAGUY 50TH BIRTHDAY PARTY BASH! We will have dinner at a nice restaurant (a few of us will treat MWoods and GSAGUY and and eveyone else can simply pay their own way) and toast these guys on their 50th birthday. Obviously, coins can still be passed around the table and their will be plenty of coin talk like at our Long Beach CU lunches, but, the subject of the evening will be how these guys made it to 50!! It should be great fun!!

Please PM me or confirm on this thread, or over on the Registry Board, if you can attend this gathering. All are welcome!

This was the one show I thought I'd be attending this year. I was looking forward to meeting many of the forum members. This makes it even worse to miss Mark's 50th. As it happens I'll be in Canada on a fly-in that weekend.

Mitch - Finally, I'll be able to put a face with the voice.......at your suggestion, I logged on to priceline.com and got a room at the Wyndham Inner Harbor for $90.00! I'll be arriving on Thursday July 31 and leaving on Friday Aug. 1. So, count me in for Mark's 50th birthday bash.

I do believe the Registry lunch is on Friday August 1...I won't be there, as I need to get ready for my Canadian Rockies trip, I leave for that on August 2. For everyone I won't see on Aug. 1 and 2, have a nice time.

I'm still working on it Mitch. I'll definitely be at the Registry luncheon. Now that I know it is on the 31st, I'll see if I can slip in for the evening. I will have been in Spain for a week prior so I may be a bit woozy! I should know by next week.

Mitch, I have wanted to add my name to the list, but have been waiting to try and find out what time the BASH starts.
I will have the wife and son in tow, so I have to feed them, before I am "free" to go. They will be happier in the hotel pool, than at a party with a lot of coin talk.

I would really love to attend, and am only waiting to get an approximate time, the Bash will begin, so I can plan ahead and make arrangments for the wife and kid.

Paul: That is really flexible. I did not want to disrupt the business of the dealers who will be attending (and Miles, who will probably be grading coins all day). It can be around 6:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. I suspect to accomplish that objctive. Does that sound like a workable time for you?

OK - THE RESTAURANT HAS NOW BEEN SELECTED - IT IS THE FAMOUS "OBRYCKI'S" IN HISTORIC FELLS POINT, MD (check out www.obryckis.com). The restaurant is a short cab ride from the convention center and all nearby hotels.

THE PRICE PER PERSON IS FIXED AT $60 (including tax and gratuity) AND INCLUDES ALL THIS (including 3 full hours of unlimited feasting on the food and drink mentioned below):

1. CHOICE OF SALAD (INCLUDING CAESAR SALAD) OR THEIR FAMOUS MARYLAND CRAB SOUP (OR ANY OTHER SOUP ON THEIR MENU).
