Should a Convicted Felon be allowed to participate in the Registry?

braddickbraddick Posts: 24,165 ✭✭✭✭✭
You loose your right to vote in Federal elections and your 4th waiver is lost (for awhile, at least). Should a convicted Felon be allowed to participate in the PCGS Registry and if so, should his set be labeled as such?

Should a convicted Felon be allowed to participate in the PCGS Registry

    Sure! Happens all the time!

Pat this is your all time best question. I have no answer for the question. I suppose if the felon is a thief, in real life, and is stealing cert numbers PCGS should bounce his/her butt immediately.

Thats the best answer available as my experience with felons is zip while your experience is intensive. Probably you should give the reasons why a felon should or should not be allowed to participate.

If he/she follows the rules what is the difference? What's next, ban some religion or race!

Certainly, we already allow them to be hobby leaders, prominent dealers, and powerful member of numismatic organizations. Why leave out the registry?

I thought the registry and the Forum had a requirement ,

that you be a felon in order to participate.

If they set a rule that you couldn't be a felon, wouldn't that mean that you would have to do a criminal records check on each person here? From multiple countries? Sounds a little overboard don't you think? And who would pay for it?

Is "disturbing the piece" the same as "ATing coins"???
They only give you 20 hrs? Lucky. Just think what you'd get for disturbing the peace... image
