How Do You Edit Without Deleting?

How do you edit a set to change the card without deleting it from the data base? For example, if I want to register a different card in the HOF set than is currently listed, how do I delete it from the HOF set but not completely from the system? I'm afraid that deleting it from the one set will delete it from all other sets it is registered in. I don't want to have to add it back in all the other sets that it is registered with.

Just delete it from the HOF set
and replace it.

It will not delete it from the other sets.

I deleted an entire set from the registry
and some of the cards were still listed
in my HOF set that was still active.

Thanks. The reason I was concerned was that I had updated some cards in my 1969 set and one of the updates also appeared in the hof set, even though I had not updated it in that set.
