Free Grading Results Some Good, Some OK, One For Braddick!

Got grades yesterday. These were all submitted as freebies from 90% complete registry sets, and the CC coin of the quarter. Because of that, I might have sent a couple coins I would not have done otherwise.

Didn't expect the bag on the Buff nickel. Happy with my Franklins... they were all just cut out proof set leftovers. Happy with the 76 Washingtons, but really hoped for a 68 on the Ike! The 77-D Ike was cracked from a 64 holder, but I hoped for a 2 point upgrade. Glad the 32-D & S are authentic; e-bay purchase as part of a set ($110 for the near complete 32-59 set). Really hoped for a CAM on the 1965/1966 Jeffs. Wouldn't have minded a point higher grade on a couple SMS coins also. The 61 cent is wild purple toned, so happy it slabbed. The 14-S Barber 25c was just a filler. Hoped to make a 68 on the 91 cents. Happy with the 77-CC; that's my son's. Decent on the AH for a $12 proof set.

    Not bad results Brian.

The IKE was a nice upgrade.

    Congratulations.

Nice. It's fun to get some of those back. I don't know why or what it is, but take a problem free AG/GD early coin and wrap it in PCGS plastic and it sparkles!

    Rampage,
I had bought a MS65 Ike to upgrade that coin in my set. When I looked at the 65 I bought and compared to the "64" I had, the 64 was clearly superior.... it was even up with the 3 MS66's I have. Funny to say I'm disappointed with a crack out upgrade, but I hoped to make that an MS66.

On the purple cent, I submitted it still sealed in the proof set cello to help show it was not AT. Tired to scan it once, but the color showed poorly.

That is a worn smooth beautifully worn coin. Fair 02... two points below GD04.

I have an ANACS 1854 rays quarter in FR02... worn? You bet, but it's an awesome (and smooth) coin image
