Corso crushes the opposition in the battle of War Nickels

Frank Corso crushes the competition with 7 of 11 coins being top pops in the basic War nickel registry set & 8 of 14 in the with varieties War nickel set. Whooa! what bad timing for the rest of us.imageimageimage

Love those high end nickels. Great sets.

See what you started Nick by having too many nice roosies.

Wow, Great set. I knew being on top was to good to last. I guess I'll have to start focusing on the war nickels.

It was only a matter of time before Corso and Overby got into the action.

If he loves the coins he has in the set, that matters more then the grade on the plastic.

I plan on assembling a set of neat looking f/s war nickles at 2 points under top pop. condition that are pretty coins that can be had for 50-100 bucks and I'll be perfectly happy with them because while top of pop coins in this series have gone up, the ones a couple points lower have gone way down in price but look just as good as they did when they were worth more. For some of the war nickles you can even get pretty 66 f/s coins for well under 100 dollars.

I am handling this week the incredible pop 1/0 1943(p) nickel in PCGS-MS68FS just slabbed, as well as a third 1943(d) in MS68FS that is possibly the coolest color MS68FS Jefferson ever graded. If my customer wants both of these coins, it may open up a dup 43(d) MS68FS, which I will then offer on the boards. I will also be offering one of the (3) 1945(p) in MS67FS in the very near future. War nickels are really cool and, I believe, underappreciated! image
