Dear PCGS Set Registrants,
The deadline for this year's PCGS Set Registry Awards is just
10 days away! Last year at this time there were 3,400 sets
registered. This year there are over 6,800 sets registered, so
you can be sure that the competition is intense! Awards will be
presented in the following categories:
The FIVE best CLASSIC sets: 1794-1964
The FIVE best MODERN sets: 1950 to date (including Jefferson
nickels and Roosevelt dimes)
The FIVE best NEW sets in 2003 (Sets registered between
July 1, 2002 and June 30, 2003)
In addition, in each category the collector with the finest set
with at a least 50% completion, will receive a certificate of
recognition as well as a "Best of the Registry" icon by his or
her set listing in the registry.
Awards will also be presented to the best sets in one of our
newest Registries, the Canadian Coin PCGS Set Registry.

To recognize exceptional All-Time Finest sets, a number all-time
great sets will be inducted into the PCGS Set Registry Coin
Collecting Hall of Fame.

HOF in the past, click here.
This year, at the American Numismatic Convention in Baltimore,
we are hosting a special Set Registry luncheon and will be
presenting awards to all winners in attendance. Email
invitations will be sent out the week of July 1st.
Just a few reminders:
-The deadline for this year's awards is June 30, 2003 at
12:00 am EST (9:00 pm PST). You must update your set and
validate it prior to this time in order to qualify for the
2003 awards.
-You must own and have possession of the coins you are listing
in your sets.
Judging, by PCGS experts, will take place the first week in July
and the winners will be announced in mid-July.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to
email me at bj@collectors.com
Good luck to all and thanks to everyone participating in the
PCGS Set Registry!

I do have hopes of upgrading a couple of sets, but ... still awaiting grades on a couple of pending orders (regular and modern).
