Does anyone know about The Benson Collection?

I posed this question on the U.S. Coin Forum and haven't got a definitive answer so I'll try this board.



I've noticed a glut of Buffalo nickels from the Benson Collection dated 1936 showing up on eBay as well as in some dealers inventory.

Does anyone know anything about this guy???
