slabbing pre-1850 coins

Hi David,

How does PCGS look at pre-1850 coins that have been cleaned? Is it a matter of degree? Harsh vs. mild or say, cleaning vs. conservation? Do some of these coins make it into a PCGS holders and some not? Or, if it is cleaned it is bodybagged?

Thanks in advance for answering my question.

Light cleaning...very light, hardly noticeable cleaning...is OK and a minor deduction. We are more lenient with early coins.
