I think it's got a better than 50/50 shot. Very clean outside of some neck chatter. Smooth fields. Full strike. There is still plenty of room on this one too even if it remains in the NGC holder. Are you thinking of going for it?
Close. The spot in the obverse field concerns me along with the slight haze. Out of the holder may be easier, but it's a costly mistake if it doesn't go 66.
Try it a time or two in the holder, then with some guts crack it.
This actually was a pretty decent coin. Marks wise it was pretty clean but the luster was average. The Teletrade picture exaggerated the surface marks. I figured on it grading 65 so I can't complain about the 66. Current turnaround time is why it went to NGC. In my opinion it probably wouldn't have crossed over. Believe it or not this coin was purchased originally in a Truegrade 65 holder.

You know you can't tell from a scan. Buy it, if you don't like it send it back.

I did not buy it. Personally, I don't think it will go into PCGS MS65 holder if it submits as raw.
surfaces should get it at least a MS-65 if the marking prevents a 66.
