Anything going on at the new Borgata Hotel for the National? Anyone else staying there, the place looks friggin sweet...I'm getting revved up, only a month away now!!!
I'm not sure it will be open in time. Sign says "Summer 2003", and reservations for August begin June 30th. I drive by it every week, and I've watched it go up from the first brick. Pretty impressive.

Currently collecting.....your guess is as good as mine.
The Showboat is at the end of the strip. If your playing Monopoly, your in the light blue area (Connecticut Ave. area). My guess is you'll be about 13-15 blocks away. No big deal though, you can hop the Jitney (green route) for $1, and it will take you right to the Convention center.
If your talking Harrah's, then your in the Marina district. That's across the street from the Borgata (the farthest casino's from the Conv. center).
EOMint,
Excellent, you'll have to let me know how it is. I'll have to know if the first "Vegas-style" casino in worth the hype.

A close friend of mine actually left my company to join Borgata as the Chief Internal Auditor. I actually had the opportunity to go down there and lose my money in one of their "gambling test runs", but politely declined the offer.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
