All I hear here is "Nice Coin"

When people put a coin up here that is all I read and hear. Lets see if you can say "Nice Coin" about this one. image

Hell will freeze over before a person could call this a nice coin. You win some and lose some at auctions. As long as you know what you are getting into things are cool. image

    Can you say NCS?image Probably not worth the effort but it would be interesting to see the "after" pictures.

    Where's my "Nice Coin" on this ? Wow you guys are harsh. image

    Anyway I think if it went to NCS it would come out looking like this coin that follows. My first thought today when the following coin was received was that it had been conserved. Sure looks like it to me. Probably before NCS was Officially on line though.

    Ken, I thought you were into that "toned" look? Crack and dip, couldn't hurt. I did that to a 30-s that was just ugly in my opinion. Dropped a few grades and lost the FB designation ( like a little dip took off the bands) , but it sure is pretty now. J Voege

    rainbowroosies I had a NGC 29S that was shown here with a before and after photo about a year and a half ago. It went from a coin that looked not quite as bad as this 43 to a coin that looked just like the 40 shown here. It was way to white IMO. I really did not like the look at all. A blast white person would have loved it though.

    The 43 is for sure original and that is the reason a chance was taken with the purchase. You know how Heritage's pictures are...... sometimes you get a very nice suprise both Good and in this case somewhat Bad. image The originality may grow on me. Hmmm.....image

    The Real Verdict is in now. image I just showed this coin to my wife, Karen, and all she said was "Oh Yuk". Thats one of the longest and quickest comments she has ever come up with about my Mercs.

    Since a fellow board member beat me out on my toilet seat, I am starting a collection of toilet seat quality coins to build my own, that one would fit right in!

    It even has the natural used toilet seat toning built right in !!!image

    That coin is so ugly, you would have to pay a clerk at a 7-11 just to take it! It does have nice bands though. You steal that off a dead man's eyes?
