David,
I have noticed there seems to be two types of quarters found in BU rolls. Some look proof like, and others have a more matted finish. Does one group of these seem to grade higher than the other. I picked the best coin I could find out of 10 rolls and the proof like coin graded 66. (I sent it in as a learning tool for myself--I didn't expect a supercoin). Does the finish matter? Do the matted coins seem to do better, not as well, or about the same?
Thanks,
Tony

I believe that proof like surfaces are a positive that adds to the eye appeal of a coin. I believe that all other things being equal, a PL coin should get an extra half a point or so.
