The neck and the hair are fine..........it's a genuine 1853 A&R quarter. If I were you, I would want to see the reverse before bidding. Is it a New Orleans mint product? Also, it appears to have surface damage (corroded/cleaned), although it's not fair to judge from a scan. Make sure you are offered a return privilege. btw, this is one of the most common dates in the Seated Liberty quarter series and less likely to be counterfieted. We do own a few contemporary counterfiet Seated Quarters and the difference as compared to a genuine coin is quite obvious.
