I have one I am going to send into PCGS. Can you scan a close up of the mint mark and post it?
Thanks,
Ken
My Washington Type B/C Set
Sorry to hear about the results. I know PCGS typically only recognizes (at least for Jeffersons) the OMM #1 which is typically the boldest of the varieties.
The 54s/d to the best of my knowledge only has 1 OMM and many exapmles I have seen are typically bold. (Cherrpickers guide has a very good picture.) However, there are 4 stages reported in Wiles RPM book. In the stage D - weak D mintmark there is a die marker - light die crack northwest in hair. It is possible PCGS may not recognize this very late die state. I believe ANACS would recognize it.
Hope this helps.

this guys father bought this back in the 50's as i received it in the envelope that held it all these years. I must admit, I didnt like the mint mark from day one..which is why I pursued grading so quick. I sent 7 day and ended up being 4.
