Another Contest - Win a HOF Autograph

We are putting another contest for all of our members. This contest is for a very sweet prize.

The contest is simple. We are looking for more great members and that’s what this contest is about, getting more members. In order to win this contest, the first person to refer 10 NEW members and have those members make at least 5 MEANINGFULL posts will win. When you have someone joining the site that you have referred, ensure that they put your Hobby Insider ID in the “Where did you hear about Hobby Insider” field to get credit.

That’s it. We have taken a snapshot of the current referral list and will start counting from that. We are also going to monitor to ensure NO duplicate or FALSE ID’s are created. If someone creates a duplicate or false ID, they will be banned from the contest and the site. Also, please do not Spam to get more referrals. That’s not what we want to see.

Now, to the prize. To honor this years NBA Finals, we are going to give away a beautiful autograph from Hall of Famer George “Iceman” Gervin. This is a great autograph and we know that the winner will enjoy this card as part of their collection.

yep it's all about the SPAM, but there is a correct way to do it, and yes someone got banned from TR for 30 days for participating.

ok guys...I really like the site and the concept, but here are my concerns:

1) The forum boards have no posts!
2) The interview section needs to include people we care about and that doesn't include
half the interviews you have on your list. Get the means to interview and find out the
answers to these burning questions:

topps: etopps? poor customer service?
UD: redemption hell? Lack of Gu'ed and autos in new products
P/D: redemptions? backdooring?

3) The area 51 section doesn't work.....maybe this is just my computer (I really liked this section)

Most of those interviews are old (from the CE days). We haven't been doing many recent interviews because we are working on live Q&A's so everyone can ask their own questions. You say forum have no posts? You call 26,020 posts, no posts? The only forum that doesn't have many posts are the vintage and autograph which will change soon since we have 2 die-hard vintage collectors as mods and I'll handle the autograph section as soon as all of my cards are sold (that will be my new hobby). Auto it's because of the way the person was doing it I believe, but I don't think it's childish to ban someone trying to "steal" members of a site, just for an autograph card (seeing how the person wasn't even active on HI if I remember right)

lilsun1, the member was active at HI first of all. Second, its a contest, its not stealing members. You cant steal members. Most members belong to mulitple sites and always will. I am HI but will always be at CU.
